Feasibility analysis of mixed-income housing in China

摘要： In this paper, it is demonstrated that mixed-income housing is a feasible and beneficial pattern nowadays. This pattern is propitious for good living and harmonious development of society. Based on practice, data are gathered from the field, and the social investment and social distance analysis of the social network theory are used from the perspective of cross-disciplinary fields. The hypothesis is tested and the feasible and beneficial characteristics of mixed-income housing are pointed out.

摘要： By analyzing the ten burials that have been unearthed at the Yang Emperor Mausoleum of the Han Dynasty, and China s first wholly underground protection and exhibition hall of relics that is under construction, the article expounds the importance of relic site protection through underground space. In particular, it discusses the preservation of historical and cultural relics, the harmonious relationship between architecture and nature, and the collection and security of cultural relics.

摘要： Engineering is a production activity aimed at increasing people’s utility; however, serious crises are frequently reported to be caused by engineering constructions, both for nature and human beings. Based on engineering theories of philosophy, systems and ecology, this paper analyzed the prevailing defects of traditional project management approaches, explored the importance of harmony in engineering and engineering management, and discussed the developmental inevitability, concept connotation and system structure of harmonious management for engineering.

管理体制是影响流域水质保护、水防治污染的一个关键问题。文章从三峡库区及其上游流域水质保护与经济社会协调发展的战略高度，阐述了流域管理的基本特点和基本内涵，分析了三峡库区及其上游水质保护管理体制的现状和存在的主要问题，比较了国家相关部门目前提出的流域水质保护管理体制改革的主要观点和方案，在此基础上提出了基于流域协调发展的水质保护管理体制的构建设想。

工程和谐与工程创新的互动关系研究

摘要：

工程作为人类生存和发展过程中重要而复杂的实践活动，其管理实效的提升是确保社会发展的关键环节。当前工程活动中出现了一系列创新不足及不和谐的现象，如集成化创新度较低、事故频发等。提升工程管理实效，其核心在于工程管理者在完善工程和谐与创新的基础上，实现和谐与创新的互动发展。界定工程和谐及工程创新之后，提出和谐是创新的出发点和归属；反过来，创新是维持和谐的原动力，又是实现更高层次和谐的内驱力。和谐与创新的互动关系研究，有利于人类改变传统的工程创新观，追求工程组织内部、工程和生态环境的和谐，以符合可持续发展的需要。

Utilization threshold of surface water and groundwater based on the system optimization of crop planting structure

摘要： Based on the diversity of the agricultural system, this research calculates the planting structures of rice, maize and soybean considering the optimal economic-social-ecological aspects. Then, based on the uncertainty and randomness of the water resources system, the interval two-stage stochastic programming method, which introduces the uncertainty of the interval number, is used to calculate the groundwater exploitation and the use efficiency of surface water. The method considers the minimum cost of water as the objective of the uncertainty model for surface water and groundwater joint scheduling optimization for different planting structures. Finally, by calculating harmonious entropy, the optimal exploitation utilization interval of surface water and groundwater is determined for optimal cultivation in the Sanjiang Plain. The optimal matching of the planting structure under the economic system is suitable when the mining ratio of the surface is in 44.13%–45.45% and the exploitation utilization of groundwater is in 54.82%–66.86%, the optimal planting structure under the social system is suitable when surface water mining ratio is in 47.84%–48.04% and the groundwater exploitation threshold is in 67.07%–72.00%. This article optimizes the economic-social-ecological-water system, which is important for the development of a water- and food-conserving society and providing a more accurate management environment.

军事工程建设和谐管理的理论架构与实现模式

从军事工程建设区别于民用工程建设的特点出发，提出了军事工程建设和谐管理的背景。以组织行为学、军事工程经济学、现代项目管理学、系统协同进化理论为理论依据，并从军事工程建设和谐管理的本体论、认识论、方法论出发，描述了军事工程建设和谐管理的“人—事—物”逻辑关系及其系统架构，以及军事工程建设和谐管理的运行机理，从而建立了军事工程建设和谐管理的理论架构。从“领导—员工—团队”主体要素的人理和谐、“质量—工期—成本”客体要素的物理和谐、“知识—工具—方法”关系要素的事理和谐、“军事—技术—经济”系统环境和谐4个方面探讨了军事工程建设和谐管理的实现模式，并构建了军事工程建设和谐管理模式的评价模型。

Innovative development path of ethnomedicines: the interpretation of the path

摘要：

One of the primary purposes of the innovative development of ethnomedicines is to use their excellent safety and significant efficacy to serve a broader population. To achieve this purpose, modern scientific and technological means should be referenced, and relevant national laws and regulations as well as technical guides should be strictly followed to develop standards and to perform systemic research in producing ethnomedicines. Finally, ethnomedicines, which are applied to a limited extent in ethnic areas, can be transformed into safe, effective, and quality-controllable medical products to relieve the pain of more patients. The innovative development path of ethnomedicines includes the following three primary stages: resource study, standardized development research, and industrialization of the achievements and efforts for internationalization. The implementation of this path is always guaranteed by the research and development platform and the talent team. This article is based on the accumulation of long-term practice and is combined with the relevant disciplines, laws and regulations, and technical guidance from the research and development of ethnomedicines. The intention is to perform an in-depth analysis and explanation of the major research thinking, methods, contents, and technical paths involved in all stages of the innovative development path of ethnomedicines to provide useful references for the development of proper ethnomedicine use.

Application of Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) to the guidelinedevelopment for clinical practice with acupuncture and moxibustion

摘要：

Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) offers a worldwide approach to guideline development for clinical practice. For the clinical practice of acupuncture therapy, 18 evidence-based guidelines have been developed in China using GRADE. In this study, we review the advantages and limitations of the GRADE approach in the guideline development for acupuncture and moxibustion and propose some solutions to these limitations. Scientific advantages of rating the quality of evidence, outcome-centric direction, overall progression to develop recommendations, and strength of recommendations providing specific clinical guidance are the advantages of GRADE. The limitations of GRADE in the development of guidelines for acupuncture and moxibustion include rating the quality of evidence for ancient literature and literature on famous traditional Chinese medicine experts’ experiences and specific guidelines for formulating recommendations from evidence. In the guideline development for clinical practice with acupuncture and moxibustion, we suggest that a specific method should be explored based on the GRADE approach and the characteristics of acupuncture therapy.

Lean Product Development—Faster, Better … Cleaner?

摘要： To address this challenge, lean product development has emerged to become the leading improvement methodology for companies toward the creation of a competitive advantage on innovation and technology leadership. While lean product development has its origin in the best practice studies of Japanese car manufacturers such as Toyota, it has been further elaborated in defence and aerospace organizations over the last two decades, and recently empirical evidence has become available for successful introductions in sectors different from the traditionally-studied environments. The primary purpose of this work is to untangle the fuzziness that still surrounds lean product development and to ground the key aspects of lean product development based on insights from six studies published in a special issue of the on this topic. This demonstrates how better and faster product development can be achieved through the integration of lean principles with the best of more traditional new product development (NPD) practices, into a holistic system that can be characterised by value-focused and risk-based decision making, the socio-technical integration of people and process, improved project, pipeline and portfolio management, optimized knowledge management, and the creation of a learning organization. Unfortunately, while the increasing global competition offers the potential to improve the quality of life for many, the spirit of faster, better, and cheaper also threatens to endanger the future of our planet as a whole. As the majority of a product’s social and ecological impacts are committed in the design phase, it, therefore, seems imperative to investigate the integration of lean product development and eco-design principles. As a result, this work also explores the symbiosis of both approaches through the identification of tools and methods that can support the triple bottom-line goals for a sustainable future of life and business.

The development and benefits of metformin in various diseases

摘要： Metformin has been used for the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus for decades due to its safety, low cost, and outstanding hypoglycemic effect clinically. The mechanisms underlying these benefits are complex and still not fully understood. Inhibition of mitochondrial respiratory-chain complex I is the most described downstream mechanism of metformin, leading to reduced ATP production and activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). Meanwhile, many novel targets of metformin have been gradually discovered. In recent years, multiple pre-clinical and clinical studies are committed to extend the indications of metformin in addition to diabetes. Herein, we summarized the benefits of metformin in four types of diseases, including metabolic associated diseases, cancer, aging and age-related diseases, neurological disorders. We comprehensively discussed the pharmacokinetic properties and the mechanisms of action, treatment strategies, the clinical application, the potential risk of metformin in various diseases. This review provides a brief summary of the benefits and concerns of metformin, aiming to interest scientists to consider and explore the common and specific mechanisms and guiding for the further research. Although there have been countless studies of metformin, longitudinal research in each field is still much warranted.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF CROP-LIVESTOCK FARMS IN AFRICA

摘要：

Crop-livestock farms across Africa are highly variable due to in agroecological and socioeconomic factors, the latter shaping the demand and supply of livestock products. Crop-livestock farms in Africa in the 20-first century are very different from most mixed farms elsewhere in the world. African crop-livestock farms are smaller in size, have fewer livestock, lower productivity and less dependency on imported feed than farms in most countries of Europe, the Americas and the intensive agricultural systems of Asia. This paper discusses the role African crop-livestock farms have in the broader socio-agricultural economy, and how these are likely to change adapting to pressures brought on by the intensification of food systems. This intensification implies increasing land productivity (more food per hectare), often leading to more livestock heads per farm, producing fertilized feeds in croplands and importing feed supplements from the market. This discussion includes (1) the links between crop yields, soil fertility and crop-livestock integration, (2) the increasing demand for livestock products and the land resources required to meet to this demand, and (3) the opportunities to integrate broader societal goals into the development of crop-livestock farms. There is ample room for development of crop-livestock farms in Africa, and keeping integration as part of the development will help prevent many of the mistakes and environmental problems related to the intensification of livestock production observed elsewhere in the world. This development can integrate biodiversity, climate change adaptation and mitigation to the current goals of increasing productivity and food security. The inclusion of broader goals could help farmers access the level of finance required to implement changes.
